Blue Mountain Peak Trek
We will catch the splendor of sunrise over the Blue Mountain tops on our honeymoon! We might stay overnight at Whitfield Inn and set off at 2 a.m. to arrive on top of the peak at 5:30 a.m. For this exquisite experience, we look forward to an 18 mile hike – nine there and nine back. The flora and fauna will change the higher we hike and so will the altitude from 3,500 to 7,000 feet. We will pace ourselves and discover the hike of our dreams.

Settlement Hiking Trail
On this uphill 4-hour trek, we will pass through the side of Jamaica most visitors never see, deep country. Along the way, we will cross tiny footbridges over the bubbling rush of the Hope River, see small individual coffee farms and tiny, isolated village communities, all while surrounded by staggeringly splendid scenery. The Gordon Town Trail
Together we will delight in this low difficulty three-hour trail hike. We will follow the Hope River downhill, crossing tiny bridges. Next, we will splash in fresh, clear water swimming holes and duck under waterfalls amid craggy rocks and vivid foliage, the way we’ve always dreamed of. Much of the hike itself follows the old Parochial trail, an ancient, well-trodden path still used by the villagers of Gordon Town today. The way is cool, shaded by trees and always within earshot of rushing water and the distinctive, individual trills of colorful local birds.

Clifton Mount Estate House Coffee Farm
At Strawberry Hill, we will enjoy this low difficulty, one-hour stroll up the mountain that gradually ascends to 1300 feet. Clifton Mount is the oldest functioning coffee estate in Jamaica and the island’s largest exporter, set on the eastern slope of St. Catherine’s Peak at 1300 feet. We will survey the farm, hear its history and taste their world-renowned brew. Our return by vehicle will pass through the 19th century British Army base, Newcastle. Our whole hiking tour is a five-hour trek and includes the hike, lunch and the tour.
